Colon Hydrotherapy
WHAT IS COLON HYDROTHERAPY?
Colon Hydrotherapy is a safe, effective method of removing waste from the large intestine without the use of drugs. It is a comfortable experience for most people. It produces no toxicity.
Disposable speculums and hoses are used in each session. The speculums are lubricated and slide easily into the rectum. The client inserts the speculum and also removes it.
During the sessions some clothing can be kept on, and a gown is provided to ensure modesty. If your feet get cold bring socks!.
By introducing pure filtered water into the colon, waste is softened and loosened. The waste evacuates by peristalsis - the natural wave-like motion the colon makes to induce bowel movements. This process is repeated several times.
For the first ten minutes the client lies on a comfortable table usually on his or her left side. For the remaining thirty minutes the client rests on his or her back. Evacuation can be seen through a viewing tube.
Colon Hydrotherapy is a gentle procedure. Fecal matter is not forced out. The colon will release it when ready.
Do not expect the first session to evacuate a lot of waste. There are many factors that influence a successful session such as relaxation, diet, fluid intake and exercise. Clients often start to release fecal matter toward the end of the session or a few hours later. Usually follow-up colon hydrotherapy sessions will be more successful due to hydration and changing of health habits.
