WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE NUTRITION INTERVIEW
The Nutrition Interview is a great way to find out how the program will work for you. The objectives in the Nutrition Interview are to review the questionnaires, the Daily Food Mood Log, discuss health concerns, discuss health goals, consider laboratory testing, and develop your personal Plan of Action.
The Nutrition Interview is thirty minutes to one hour.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE NUTRITION INTERVIEW
To prepare for the Nutrition Interview please go to Videos on this website and watch all seven videos before the appointment. The videos will give valuable information and explain the concept of the program.
If unable to watch the videos please call the office and we will make special accommodations. All seven videos, in total, will take about 35 minutes to watch.
In order for Ms. Evans to evaluate individual nutrition health, all the forms and questionnaires must be brought to the appointment. (Click Here to download and print the forms).
Please completely fill-out all forms, using blue or black ink, two days before the appointment. It is important to take the time and think about the questions and to give an honest and accurate assessment of what you eat.
If unable to print out the forms please call the office. The forms can either be picked up or we will mail them. If mailed, it may take a week to get the forms.
If you do not bring the forms with you on the day of the Nutrition Interview and have not watched the videos we will need to reschedule.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE INITIAL CONSULTATION
The goal of the Initial Consultation is to develop a personalized Nutrition Plan to achieve optimal nutrition results. Each client receives one in a variety of programs designed by Jeri Evans.
The objectives are to receive a personalized nutrition plan, to discuss how to use the charts and information, how to plan balanced meals, how much exercise is advised, discuss health reactions, in other words how does one feel on the program and what reactions and improvements to notice, list health goals we are working on, create a supplement protocol and discuss the plan of action (what actions are needed to achieve goals).
Most clients start off with the Jeri Evans Nutrition, Inc. Plan booklet. This food program does not contain gluten (all wheat foods and other grains that contain gluten), soy, diary (pasteurized) or sugar. Other food may be excluded depending on individual strategies, reactions, allergies or intolerances.
The booklet contains a list of Foods to Avoid and Foods that are Safe to Eat. It also includes a 14 page Carbohydrate Chart and The Healthy Processed Food List that makes menu planning easier especially when you know what brands of processed foods are considered “safe” to eat.
This session lasts an hour.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE FOLLOW-UP CONSULTATIONS
The goals of the follow-up sessions are to keep the client on tract with the diet and health goals.
Many clients think they are following the plan but fail to realize that they are still eating food that may be causing distress. This is why it is essential to come in the first 4 weeks to review the Daily Food Mood Logs.
The objectives are to review and discuss the Daily Food Mood Log, discuss any laboratory test results, set up supplement protocols, assign nutritional protocols (when applicable), to assess the response to the new food plan and supplements, to follow-up on goals and create a plan of action so goals are achieved.
HOW OFTEN ARE THE FOLLOW-UP CONSULTAIONS?
It is best to come in once a week for 4 weeks (depending on individual needs), then once a month. Once the goals are achieved Maintenance begins. Maintenance visits are scheduled every three to four months.
